Description: Serving as a beacon for the new River Row community, Skiff anchors the courtyard where people gather and events take place. Its’ form evoking both a boat form and a leaf form, the sculpture gives tribute to the San Lorenzo Riverfront just beyond.

The San Lorenzo River mouth in Santa Cruz is now the Three Princes' Surf Site, a designated California Historical Landmark. This site honors three Hawaiian princes who surfed there in 1885.
