The composition for Cul de Sac Gates is comprised of the shapes of the cul de sacs in the neighborhood surrounding the firehouse. The designs are based on positioning of homes within the constraints of the rolling hills, as well as maximizing traffic flow. Similar designs are seen in many places in nature; termite tunnels, ant tracks, coral and mitochondria cells. Cul de Sac Gates create a novel and engaging connection between the firehouse and the community it serves.
