Description: Archaeology was inspired by historical objects that were found on the Wallis Ranch site prior to the development of the land. These include a hook, a pulley, a horseshoe and a gear. The group of sculptures remind us of the rich agrarian past that existed there a century ago.  The artwork embodies the history of the land, as well as the beauty and ubiquity of the essential tools of early American design and technology.
