Stockton was a pivotal hub for agricultural machinery innovation in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, widely known as the birthplace of the Caterpillar tractor. Tools of the Trade, sculptural panels for the Davis Road Bridge,pays tribute to this significant aspect of Stockton’s history. Integrated into the center of each of the fourteen panels is a vintage iron part from vintage agricultural machinery industry.
